The retail store architecture for the Nespresso store in São Paulo, on the famous Rua Oscar Freire, has a new operating concept that is being replicated worldwide by the brand. With an area of 245m², this is the first boutique to adopt the brand’s new concept in Brazil, which aims to put the customer at the center of the service offered by the brand, with technological innovations and experiences involving coffee.
The project’s design follows the brand’s new concept for its boutiques, materialized with an architectural change designed to facilitate the movement of customers. Counters were removed so that attendants can accompany customers, providing an even more personalized experience. This modern retail architecture project was designed to create a greater immersion in the coffee universe through a unique journey of discovery, with an easy and uncomplicated purchasing system. In addition, the store has a bar dedicated to product tasting, allowing customers the opportunity to try new flavors and deepen their knowledge.
The boutique’s design is a striking example of contemporary architecture that merges with traditional elements of São Paulo culture. The minimalistic aesthetic combines seemingly with the cozy atmosphere of the farms and coffee plantations in lush green areas, creating an immersive atmosphere for consumers. The walls of coffee pods and the floor in the style of the famous sidewalks of the city of São Paulo are some of the design highlights of the store.
The store’s decoration seeks to highlight the company’s concern with sustainability, using technological solutions to save energy and sustainable materials in construction, ensuring architectural sustainability. The tabletops, for example, are produced with a mixture of coffee grounds and resin, and all the wooden furniture is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified, underscoring the brand’s commitment to circular economy and recycling.
The combination of all these elements, which was entirely designed by Gonçalo Silva Architects, makes the retail experience entirely immersive, guaranteeing that consumers are able to discover the world of Nespresso coffee in a new and enhanced way, creating a unique and memorable shopping experience.
